Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is the capital and has the second largest population of the United Arab
Emirates. It is the largest and wealthiest of the seven emirates. It was said by
CNN to be the richest city in the world.
The latest census in 2005 indicates a population of 1.29 Million. About 80% of the
population are expatriate - foreigners from other Arab countries, the Indian
sub-continent, Britain, Europe, US, Canada, Australia and many more. It is about
an hour and forty five minute drive on a multilane highway to Dubai.
